About the role
This role involves preparing, revising, and updating AutoCAD drawings based on actual survey, engineering designs and field data. You will produce fiber optic network layouts, route plans, conduit, manhole layouts, splicing sequences and cable routing, as well as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) layouts, bore paths and crossing details. You will generate as-built plans drawings based on redline drawings, field revisions and implementation changes, and prepare accurate as-built plans for project completion and client handover.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and update AutoCAD drawings based on actual survey, engineering designs and field data
- Produce fiber optic network layouts, route plans, conduit, manhole layouts, splicing sequence and cable routing
- Prepare Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) layouts, bore path and crossing details
- Generate as-built plans drawing based on redline drawings, field revisions and implementation changes
- Prepare accurate as-built plans for project completion and client handover
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Implementation Teams, QAA inspectors and Survey Teams to incorporate field verification results to as plan and as-built drawings
- Organize and maintain electronic copies of as plans and as-built drawings, revisions and documentation
- Assist in the preparation of permit drawings, utility coordination plans, and project documentation required by clients and government agencies
- Support the preparation of project documentation required for billing, acceptance and project close-out
- Maintain proper document control and version management of all engineering drawings
About you
- Bachelor's Degree or technical/Vocational Diploma in Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D)
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with Fiber optic network construction, HDD layouts, underground utility drawings, conduit routing, and as-built documentation is an advantage
- Familiarity with GIS mapping, Google Earth, and PDF editing software is an advantage
- Valid driver's license is an advantage
