Job summary

First Focus IT is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Internal IT team in Manila. You’ll help keep systems, applications and technology secure and reliable, working across support, administration, security, automation and improvement projects.

This Manila-based role offers day shifts, hybrid work, and opportunities to drive continuous improvements while collaborating with an MSP that serves Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Solid systems administration background and independent troubleshooting capability.
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based business environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory and modern workplace technologies.
• Experience administering and maintaining business applications and systems.
• Understanding of patching, system maintenance and security fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with ticketing or service management systems.
• Interest in automation, AI and finding smarter ways to handle repetitive work.
• Good technical documentation habits.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing operation and improvement of internal IT environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and vendors to keep technology reliable and secure.
• Administering and maintaining operating systems, applications and internal technology platforms.
• Keep systems patched and maintained with minimal business disruption.
• Investigate technical and security issues and drive resolution.
• Manage support requests from investigation to completion or escalation.
• Plan and implement changes with minimal disruption to business.
• Identify repetitive tasks and opportunities for automation.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and procedures.
• Assist new employees with First Focus systems and technology.
• Work with vendors for external support when required.
• Share knowledge and help others develop technical capability.
