Job summary

OneOcean is seeking a Database Specialist to design, develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and modelling pipelines as part of its analytics landscape. You will provide accurate data to internal stakeholders and customers and help reshape our data and reporting architecture.

The role focuses on building data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and robust validation, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast-paced maritime business.

Qualifications

• Experience with on‑premises or cloud databases (MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of data management, cleansing and query optimisation.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• Scripting knowledge (JavaScript / C#).
• Experience with CI/CD and source control.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data pipeline architecture from multiple sources.
• Assemble large data sets meeting business requirements.
• Automate processes and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing approaches.
• Ensure data validation and secure data handling.
