Job summary

OneOcean Group is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data ingestion, transformation and modelling pipelines as part of the analytics landscape. You will enable timely, accurate data for internal stakeholders and customers while redesigning data and reporting approaches.

The role focuses on scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), and governance across data sources, with collaboration across teams and proactive optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data.
• Data cleansing, validation and query optimization skills.
• Dimensional modelling and slowly changing dimensions knowledge.
• Cloud experience with Azure and AWS preferred.
• Scripting in Python/PySpark required.
• CI/CD and source control tools like Jenkins/Liquibase.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data pipelines from multiple sources.
• Assemble large, complex data sets for analytics needs.
• Improve data delivery and infrastructure for scalability.
• Develop data warehousing solutions for storage and retrieval.
• Ensure data validation for accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and document data processes.
