Job summary

OneOcean Group is seeking a Data Engineer in the Philippines to design, develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and modelling pipelines as part of the analytics landscape. You will enable timely decision-making for internal stakeholders and customers.

The role involves redesigning data and reporting approaches to enhance value extraction from data across the business and customers, with a focus on scalable, robust data infrastructure and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data
• Understanding of data management, cleansing and query optimization
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling and slowly changing dimensions
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark scripting
• Familiarity with CI/CD and source control (Liquibase, Jenkins)
• Ability to model data for BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Superset)
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive on data security and best practices
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture from multiple sources
• Assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements
• Automate data delivery, optimise infrastructure for scale
• Build infrastructure for ETL/ELT from diverse data sources
• Ensure data validation and quality for reporting
• Develop and maintain data warehousing and modelling pipelines
• Keep data secure and compliant with best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide training as needed
