Job summary

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, seeks an experienced Plumbing Designer for a long-term independent contractor engagement from the Philippines. You will design, model, and coordinate plumbing systems for cutting-edge U.S.

data center projects, developing layouts, BIM models, and technical drawings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Strong plumbing design expertise, proficiency with BIM tools, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plumbing design.
• Proven experience designing and modeling plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit is a must.
• Experience producing coordinated BIM models and construction documentation.
• Understanding of applicable plumbing and building codes and standards.
• Experience coordinating plumbing systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Experience with U.S.-based projects and data centers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Using BIM tools to model plumbing systems and coordinate with other disciplines; hands-on Autodesk Revit experience is a must.
• Developing plumbing system layouts and detailed designs for mission-critical facilities.
• Designing and modeling domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and other plumbing systems.
• Developing plumbing piping layouts, equipment connections, riser diagrams, and system schematics.
• Performing plumbing calculations and supporting equipment and piping sizing.
• Producing coordinated BIM models and construction drawings.
• Coordinating plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
• Reviewing shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.
