Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Centre Operations Support professional to monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and fire suppression systems. The role covers environmental monitoring, IT system support, security operations, and incident response within a shift-based schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in IT or related fields with 4+ years in data centre or IT operations, and holds or is pursuing ITIL or security certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, facilities management, engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, IT Operations, or Facilities Management.
• Understanding of critical infrastructure, IT operations, and security controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to work in shift-based environment and respond to incidents.
• ITIL Foundation (preferred) and basic IT infrastructure certifications (preferred).
• Security awareness certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
• Perform environmental monitoring checks (temperature, humidity, and water leakage).
• Support facility maintenance, equipment installation, and cable management activities.
• Manage physical security operations, including access control, CCTV monitoring, and visitor management.
• Monitor IT systems and perform basic troubleshooting, system administration, and user access management.
• Support incident response, service requests, backup operations, and disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, operational logs, and reports.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
