Job summary

BPO International, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to head the design, development, and deployment of mechanical systems for data centers and Cable Landing Stations. You will drive HVAC and cooling solutions, ensuring energy efficiency and reliability across projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants to guarantee seamless integration with electrical, ICT, and structural disciplines, while guiding commissioning and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in data centers or Cable Landing Stations (CLS) projects.
• Proven experience design HVAC, cooling and fire suppression systems.
• Strong engineering calculations and thermal modeling knowledge.
• Familiar with industry standards (Uptime, ASHRAE, NFPA, local codes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for data centers and CLS.
• Ensure energy-efficient, scalable, reliable systems that meet customer specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with Data Center Design Manager, CSA Lead, Lead Electrical Engineer, and others to integrate systems.
• Provide technical leadership and address design challenges effectively.
• Work with Project Management during execution to resolve installation and operation issues.
• Oversee commissioning and testing for performance and safety compliance.
• Drive ongoing optimization and efficiency improvements during operation.
• Guide troubleshooting and continuous improvement of system performance.
