Job summary

Ubiquity is seeking a Data Analyst, People Technology, to lead data quality and reporting across HR platforms. The role requires strong SQL, RCA, and ITIL knowledge to safeguard data accuracy and enable reliable data lineage.

You will bridge HR operations and IT, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to an enterprise HCM data strategy. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR analytics, IT process analysis, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Strong SQL querying and data validation skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and enterprise HR applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis on data issues and data pipelines to implement permanent solutions.
• Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries to inspect data and validate schemas.
• Conduct data quality audits and risk assessments across HR systems for compliance and data integrity.
• Design, build, and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for decision making.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, developers, and vendors to translate needs into database requirements and communicate status.
• Document processes and maintain a centralized knowledge base for HR systems.

This position requires strong SQL proficiency to lead database-level quality assurance, incident investigation, and reporting across our HR platforms. Bridging HR operations and IT, this role applies Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and IT Problem Management techniques to eliminate system discrepancies, safeguard data accuracy, and ensure reliable data lineage across enterprise HCM platforms.

What You’ll Do:

• Database RCA & System Integrity: Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis on recurring database anomalies, system failures, and data pipeline disruptions in enterprise HCM platforms to establish permanent, long-term preventive solutions.
• SQL Querying & Technical Diagnostics: Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries to inspect raw database tables, validate schema structures, trace data lineage, and troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Quality Audits & Risk Assessment: Perform routine data quality audits, analyze incident trends, and execute risk assessments across HR systems to mitigate operational risks, prevent data corruption, and ensure compliance with process specifications.
• HR Reporting & Analytics: Design, build, optimize, and maintain standard operational reports, key metric dashboards, and executive summaries to support strategic HR decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between HR operational units, HR IT teams, software developers, and external vendors to translate operational needs into technical database requirements and communicate status updates effectively.
• Process Documentation & Knowledge Base: Prepare post-incident reports, maintain HR system process documentation, and develop a centralized knowledge base for system workflows and technical troubleshooting guides

What We’re Looking For:

• SQL Proficiency: Proven track record writing SQL queries for database investigation, data validation, schema inspection, and report creation.
• Technical Problem Solving: Hands‑on experience in Root Cause Analysis, IT Problem Management, or technical systems troubleshooting.
• HR Systems & ITIL Knowledge: Working knowledge of enterprise HCM applications, cloud architectures, and IT service management concepts (ITIL framework).
• Education & Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR analytics, technical data analysis, or IT process analysis. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Soft Skills & Precision: Meticulous attention to detail regarding sensitive data paired with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
