Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Data Analyst, Growth and Enablement in Metro Manila. The role focuses on collecting, cleaning, and validating data; building datasets and dashboards; and performing descriptive and diagnostic analyses to uncover drivers of performance.

You'll collaborate with analytics and BI teams to deliver insights using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and scripting tools, while supporting ad hoc investigations and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, OR 1 to 3+ years of professional analytics experience.
• Proficient SQL writing using joins, aggregations, and window functions for complex data extraction.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with formulas, modeling, and pivots.
• Experience creating automated reports and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Familiarity with descriptive stats, distributions, hypothesis testing, and basic forecasting.
• Strong attention to detail and data governance, QA, and data validation practices.
• Excellent communication to translate data into clear narratives for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform descriptive/diagnostic analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and drivers.

• Conduct statistical analysis and simple predictive modeling as needed.
• Create automated workflows/reports with Excel/Google Sheets/Apps Script.
• Document data transformations, methodologies, and metrics definitions.
• Support ad hoc analyses and respond to stakeholder questions with clear insights.
• Collaborate with Reporting Analysts, BI/A Officers, and cross-functional teams to scale analytics.

Your Role:

As a Data Analyst, Growth and Enablement, you will:

• Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal or external sources to ensure the highest standards of data quality, completeness, and integrity.

• Build structured datasets, specialized views, and data definitions for comprehensive analysis and corporate reporting.

• Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to effectively identify trends, anomalies, and underlying performance drivers.

• Develop data visualizations, interactive dashboards, and compelling insight summaries using specialized BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.

• Conduct statistical analysis, intermediate to advanced trend analysis, and simple predictive modeling.

• Create automated workflows and reports for recurring analysis using programming and scripting tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or Google Apps Script.

• Document data transformations, working methodologies, metrics definitions, and structural assumptions.

• Support ad hoc analytical deep dives, exploratory investigations, and complex stakeholder questions.

• Collaborate with Reporting Analysts, Senior Reporting Analysts, Business Solutions Architects, and BI&A Officers to foster scalable analytics and data accessibility.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, OR 1 to 3+ years of professional experience in an analytics or data analysis role.

• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries (using joins, aggregations, and window functions) for complex data extraction and transformation.

• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet tools like Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, modeling, and pivot tables.

• Demonstrated experience developing automated reports, interactive dashboards, or visual insights using at least one BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Understanding of descriptive statistics, distributions, hypothesis testing, and basic forecasting or regression techniques.

• Strong attention to detail with proven experience executing data governance, quality assurance, and data validation practices.

• Effective communication and presentation skills, with a proven capability to translate complex data into clear narratives tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Practical experience utilizing Python (specifically pandas, numpy, and matplotlib/plotly) or R for advanced data analysis.

• Hands-on scripting experience using Google Apps Script or VBA to streamline and automate data workflows.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to align analytical approaches with strategic organizational goals.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and build scalable data solutions.
