Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines is seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics Officer to lead end-to-end analytics projects, define requirements, and translate data into actionable insights across the organization.

You'll build and automate complex reports and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Apps Script, ensure data accuracy, and partner with teams to embed insights into operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Strong forecasting knowledge and data interpretation skills.
• Experience building dynamic reports and dashboards across BI tools.

Your Role

• Manage end‑to‑end analytics projects, from defining requirements to delivering insights.
• Build, automate, optimize and maintain complex reports, dashboards and forecasting models using all available tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Apps Script across the whole organization.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting tools.
• Designs scalable solutions and improves reporting workflows.
• Rapidly derive numbers and analyze data to identify blind spots, performance bottlenecks, and hidden opportunities for improvement.
• Acts as a critical partner to the team by challenging assumptions, interrogating data accuracy, and delivering proactive insights that drive business strategy.
• Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes and data definitions.
• Support ad hoc data requests and provide insights for operational and strategic decisions.
• Collaborates cross‑functionally to embed insights into operations and organizational strategy, and ensure stakeholders have access to relevant dashboards, data packs, and performance insights.
• Acts as the principal analytical engine for complex ad-hoc requests, operating with high autonomy to rapidly deliver executive-level insights and data models.
• Provide guidance and to analysts across levels, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

What You Need

• Data Analysis & Interpretation – Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-making.
• Statistical Knowledge - Understanding of intermediate forecasting techniques, interpret historical data and identify patterns or trends with attention to detail to ensure high accuracy of projections.
• Report Development & Automation – Skilled in creating dynamic reports and dashboards using Excel or Google sheets, and automate repetitive tasks using tools like VBA and Google Apps Script
• Business Intelligence Tools – Familiar with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for advance data visualization and reporting.
• Data Quality & Governance – Ensures accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting outputs through rigorous validation and documentation practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Works effectively with teams across departments to gather requirements, deliver insights, and support strategic initiatives.
• Process Improvement – Identifies opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and implements solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Communication & Presentation – Capable of translating complex data into clear, concise visualizations and summaries tailored to various audiences.
• Project & Time Management – Manages multiple reporting tasks and deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Subject Matter Expertise - Serves as the ultimate technical authority on BI tools and advanced forecasting within the team, capable of independently solving the organization's most complex data challenges.
• Leadership and Empowerment - Ability to guide and support senior and junior analysts by sharing expertise, building confidence, and fostering skill development without relying on formal authority.
