Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Data Analyst in a Growth and Enablement capacity. The role is based at 1880 Building, Eastwood Libis, Quezon City, with a Dayshift/Hybrid setup.

You will transform raw data into meaningful insights to support business decisions across the organization, using SQL, Excel, Google Sheets and Python, and creating visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand analytical needs and improve data reliability,

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, or BI.
• Experience turning raw data into actionable insights using SQL, Excel, Google Sheets and Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Data Management: collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Analysis & Modeling: identify trends, anomalies, and drivers; perform basic forecasting.
• Visualization: build dashboards and insights with Power BI, Tableau, Looker.

The Data Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful, actionable insights that support business decisions across the organization. This role involves gathering and cleaning data using SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, and Python; analyzing trends; building datasets; creating visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Google Apps Script; and presenting findings clearly to stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to understand analytical needs, enhance data reliability, and actively contribute to a data‑driven culture.

Main Activities & Responsibilities

• Data Management: Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources. Build structured datasets and views for robust analysis and reporting.
• Analysis & Modeling: Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers. Conduct statistical analysis and simple predictive modeling/forecasting.
• Visualization & Dashboards: Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and insight summaries using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Automation & Efficiency: Create automated workflows for recurring analyses using Excel, Google Sheets, or Google Apps Script to streamline operations.
• Collaboration: Partner with Reporting Analysts, Senior Reporting Analysts, Business Solutions Architects, and BI&A Officers to enable scalable analytics and reporting.
• Governance & Documentation: Document methodologies, transformations, data definitions, and assumptions. Ensure high data quality, completeness, and integrity through rigorous validation practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3+ years of hands‑on experience in a data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence role.

Core Technical Stack

• Strong proficiency with SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions) for data extraction and transformation.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling, DAX basics).
• Direct experience with at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).

Nice‑to‑Haves / Advantages

• Experience using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Plotly) or R for data analysis.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation (Google Apps Script, VBA).

Functional Knowledge

• Familiarity with basic forecasting techniques, trend analysis, and data governance/quality assurance best practices.
• Proven track record of working with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored report solutions.
