The Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for packaging projects, coordinating with production and sales teams, and ensuring pricing aligns with company profitability targets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for offset printing and packaging jobs including materials, labor, machine time, and overhead.
• Analyze job specifications such as size, paper type, colors, finishing, and quantity.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Purchasing teams to gather necessary costing information.
• Calculate paper consumption, ink usage, plates, die cuts, lamination, and finishing costs.
• Prepare quotations and pricing proposals for customers.
• Maintain and update costing databases, price lists, and supplier pricing.
• Review historical job data to improve costing accuracy.
• Ensure all quotations meet company profit margin guidelines.
• Assist management in evaluating production efficiency and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.
