Bestpak Packaging Solutions, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to oversee cost accounting for manufacturing operations. You will forecast costs, analyze variances, and guide budget alignment to improve profitability.

The role requires SAP proficiency, strong analytical abilities, and the drive to implement process improvements across cost control activities and intercompany cost data management.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business field.
• 1–2 years in cost accounting or related finance role.
• Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or related sectors.
• Proficient with SAP or similar financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Execute standard cost policies and ensure accuracy in activities.
• Perform cost calculations for new product codes and update standard costs in SAP.
• Manage intercompany data in SAP, including costs and price discrepancies.
• Maintain cost cards for third-party manufacturers and settle non-inventory POs.
• Handle month-end closing and analyze COGS and related financial data.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly S&OP forecasts for COGS.
• Review monthly variances with Finance Director and Business Liaison Director.
• Support cost-saving projects with validation and volume updates.
• Define regional cost accounting procedures and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure internal controls and assist audits by resolving gaps.

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to oversee the cost accounting function for our manufacturing operations, providing accurate forecasts, performing variance analyses, and guiding budget alignment.

Job Objectives & Responsibilities

• Execute the company's standard cost policies and processes, ensuring adherence to procedures and accuracy in all activities.
• Perform cost calculations for new product codes and update standard costs, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely maintenance of costing data in SAP.
• Manage intercompany data in SAP, including delivery costs, markup, and resolution of price discrepancies related to intercompany invoices.
• Maintain cost cards for third-party manufacturers, reconcile price variances, and process non-inventory purchase order settlements.
• Handle month-end closing tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and complete analysis of cost of goods sold (COGS) and other financial data.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) forecasts for COGS, providing detailed breakdowns with 100% accuracy.
• Review and analyze monthly variances for actual costs of sales, budgets, and S&OP forecasts in collaboration with business partners such as the Finance Director and Business Liaison Director.
• Provide financial support for cost-saving projects, including validation and volume updates, and conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Define and document regional procedures for cost accounting activities while driving process excellence initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls through timely resolution of control gaps, perform SOAR controls, and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any business-related course.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar cost accounting or financial role.
• Experience in Manufacturing or consumer goods industry, Audit or accounting firms, or Product supply finance.
• Proficient in SAP or similar financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
