Job summary

Vena Energy is seeking a Project Cost Engineer to monitor, plan, and review costs for wind construction. You will support several SPVs, ensuring adherence to best practices and timely reporting.

The role requires a Civil or Electrical Engineering degree and at least 5 years of cost engineering experience within a construction team, preferably wind/farm or solar projects. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering is required.
• 5 years of relevant experience as Cost Engineer.
• Experience working as part of a construction team; wind farm or solar construction is a plus.
• Excellent data organization and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to generate reports and present findings clearly.
• Strong communication and coordination with project teams.
• Willing to travel for short-term assignments to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Review project progress against cost spent.
• Provide cost control support for wind projects including variation reporting and milestone progress monitoring.
• Process contractor billings and monitor contractor payments for contract compliance.
• Verify invoices and claims from suppliers to ensure payments align with contracts.
• Ensure cost-related files are uploaded and kept in SharePoint folders.
• Perform technical and commercial review of contractor proposals for service agreements.
• Create project cost reports for construction team and management review.
• Identify risks and notify management on potential impacts to the project.

JobDescription:

• Reviewprojectprogressagainstcostspent.

• Providecostcontrolsupportforallwindprojectssuchasvariationreporting,monitoringofmilestoneprogress,processingofcontractorbillings,andmonitoringofcontractorpayments.

• Responsibleforverifyingandcheckinginvoicesandclaimsfromsuppliers,vendorsandcontractorstoensurethatpaymentsarealignedwithcontractrequirements.

• EnsurethatallcostrelatedfilesareuploadedandkeptintherespectiveprojectSharepointfolders.

• PerformtechnicalandcommercialreviewofcontractorproposalsforthepreparationofServiceAgreements

• EnsureeffectiveprojectimplementationandutilizeproductivereportsfromthecreationofWBSwiththeuseofprojectmanagementsystemtomonitorthestatusofallcontracts,invoicing,anddeliveryuptotheclosureoftheprojects

• Coordinateandworkwiththeprojectmanagementteamtoresolveprojectissuestoensurethedelivery/completionoftheprojectwork

• Attendprojectmeetingsanddiscussionswiththeprojectteamandexternalparties

• Createprojectcostreportsandprovidesinformationtotheconstructionteamandmanagementforreview/action.

• Identificationandtimelynotificationtomanagementonpotentialriskswhichmayimpacttheproject.

• Promotesbudgetawarenessandcontributesinthemanagementprocess,workingwithinamulti-culturalenvironmentandidentifyingcriticalactivitiesandadvisingcorrectiveactiontoavoidmitigatedelaysandrisks.

Pre-requisites:

• Bachelor’sDegreeinCivilorElectricalEngineering
