Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior wind engineer to shape and deliver wind projects globally. You will join a multi-disciplinary team handling wind pre-construction and operational assessments, due diligence, and independent engineering for utility-scale wind farms.

The role requires 3–10+ years in wind engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with WindPRO/ WindFarmer/ OpenWind/ WAsP or CFD/QGIS, aligned to IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution.
• Experience as a (Senior) Wind Engineer or similar role in a consultancy is preferred.
• 3+ years and up to 10+ years of relevant wind energy experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using wind engineering software (WindPRO, WindFarmer, OpenWind, WAsP, CFD, or QGIS).
• Knowledge of IEC standards and proficient in data analysis, statistics, and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the technical design and delivery of wind projects.
• Work within a multi-disciplined engineering team on pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments, due diligence, power curve verification, and independent engineering for utility-scale wind projects.
• Assist in scope and budget development in response to client needs and objectives.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders; participate in project proposals and business development.
• Adopt an autonomous working style within a multi-disciplined engineering environment and undertake site visits as required.

What youll do:
