Job summary

COHERENT is seeking a Planning professional in the Philippines (Laguna/Calamba) to develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers based on demand and customer requirements. You will coordinate with manufacturers to meet schedules and ensure timely material supply.

You will monitor inventory, resolve issues, and collaborate with procurement to align supplier capacity. This hybrid role requires 2+ years in planning and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with at least 2 years planning experience.
• Experience in planning/forecasting and ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers based on demand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Monitor material availability to support production plans.
• Track and manage inventory (FG, WIP, raw materials) to avoid shortages or excess.
• Expedite critical orders and resolve supply or production issues proactively.
• Collaborate with procurement to align supplier capacity and constraints.
• Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust plans accordingly.
• Ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (forecast, orders, inventory, lead times).
• Support NPI planning and ramp-up activities.
• Generate planning reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement with contract manufacturers (lead time reduction, efficiency, cost optimization).

• Coordinate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery commitments
• Monitor material availability and ensure timely supply to support production plans
• Track and manage inventory levels (FG, WIP, raw materials) to avoid shortages or excess
• Expedite critical orders and resolve supply or production issues proactively
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to align on supplier capacity and constraints
• Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust plans accordingly
• Ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (forecast, orders, inventory, lead times)
• Support new product introduction (NPI) planning and ramp‑up activities
• Generate and present planning reports, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers (lead time reduction, efficiency, cost optimization)

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Planning (functional skills)

• Knowledgeable in Oracle is an advantage
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
