Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a Production Planning specialist to develop and maintain production schedules for contract manufacturers.

You will coordinate closely with suppliers to meet delivery commitments and monitor material availability to support production plans. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with at least 2 years of planning experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of planning experience.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and coordinating production plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers based on demand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Monitor material availability and ensure timely supply to support production plans.
• Track and manage inventory levels (FG, WIP, raw materials) to avoid shortages or excess.
• Expedite critical orders and resolve supply or production issues proactively.
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to align on supplier capacity and constraints.
• Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust plans accordingly.
• Ensure data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (forecast, orders, inventory, lead times).
• Support new product introduction (NPI) planning and ramp-up activities.
• Generate and present planning reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers (lead time reduction, efficiency, cost optimization)

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Planning (functional skills)
