MaxBlocks Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Estimator in Metro Manila to prepare accurate cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.
You will analyze plans, specifications, and scope to develop detailed budgets and bid documents, collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive and reliable estimates. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a mandatory professional license, plus at least five years of estimator experience.

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, comprehensive, and competitive cost estimates for projects undertaken by MaxBlocks Construction Corp. and its affiliated entities. This role involves reviewing and analyzing project plans, specifications, scope of work, and other relevant requirements to determine project costs and develop detailed budgets. The Estimator works closely with various departments, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure that all project components are properly assessed, quantified, and budgeted. The role also supports cost control and informed decision-making by providing reliable estimates and identifying potential cost risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for engineering and construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Prepare bid proposals, tender documents, bills of quantities, and other required estimating documents.
Evaluate and analyze bid results, quotations, and subcontractor proposals, and provide recommendations based on cost, scope, and project requirements.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options without compromising quality, safety, or project requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator Engineer, project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain the information necessary for accurate and competitive estimates.
Maintain detailed and organized records of estimated, awarded, and actual project costs for cost monitoring and future reference.
Prepare and present cost estimates, financial reports, variance analyses, and other cost-related reports to management and clients.
Identify, assess, and quantify potential risks, uncertainties, and cost impacts associated with project estimates.
Develop appropriate contingency allowances, risk mitigation measures, and cost-control strategies to minimize potential budget overruns.
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Civil Engineering License is a MUST.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Estimator in the engineering or construction industry.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in estimation software and tools, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in preparing estimates and cost calculations.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willing and able to work both in an office environment and on construction sites as required.
