Job summary

Zohorecruit and its Australian client seek a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support end-to-end bookkeeping for a construction business from a hybrid Ortigas, Pasig office.

You will own bookkeeping, payroll in Xero, supplier invoices, job costing, and month-end close, coordinating with external accountants to deliver clean, reconciled monthly books. The role emphasizes accuracy, process discipline, and continuous improvement within a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years end-to-end bookkeeping experience for Australian businesses.
• Experience managing Australian payroll in Xero, including weekly pay runs and superannuation.
• Strong accounts payable experience and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Australian GST and PAYG withholding.
• Attention to detail and organized, with reconciled records.
• Excellent written English and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently.
• Xero Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Code and reconcile bank transactions in Xero weekly and monthly close.
• Manage accounts payable and supplier invoices.
• Process payroll in Xero, including STP reporting.
• Prepare end-of-month reconciliations and reporting to external accountants.
• Assist with job costing and project cost allocations.
• Respond to management and supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
