Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in the Philippines to take ownership of day-to-day financial record-keeping, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple income streams. The role requires accurate payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and historical data cleanup.

You will maintain the general ledger, prepare financial summaries for management, and ensure compliance with Australian BAS/GST requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience with Australian payroll, GST, and BAS.
• Payroll processing and A/P/A/R management experience.
• Experience handling backlog cleanup and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with POS data integration and data discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high transaction volumes.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile daily takings reports and categorize transactions.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule with correct deductions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Undertake historical cleanup of financial records and correct errors.
• Maintain the general ledger with complete, supported entries.
• Prepare regular financial reports for management decision-making.
• Identify discrepancies between POS data and accounting records.
• Assist with inventory and stock reconciliation as required.
• Maintain organized documentation in line with procedures.
