Full Time

The Computer Laboratory Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and technical support of the university’s computer laboratories. This role ensures that all computing facilities are fully functional, secure, and ready for use by students, faculty, and staff according to the prescribed schedule. Key responsibilities include providing second-level technical support for hardware and software issues, performing preventive maintenance on systems and peripherals, and ensuring compliance with University and ISTS policies. The incumbent works under the guidance of the Assistant Manager for Computer Laboratories to maintain accurate laboratory records, manage inventory, and deliver high-quality service to the academic community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least one (1) year of experience in computer operations, technical support, or laboratory assistance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of PC hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office applications, with the ability to set up and troubleshoot desktop computers.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including printers, projectors, speakers, scanners, and related technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented, proactive, and results-driven approach; able to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, work with minimal supervision, and work on shifting schedules.
