Job summary

CommScope is seeking Completion Engineers / Back Office Engineers in the Philippines to ensure quality of operational documentation for fiber network installations. The role focuses on reviewing reports, validating BOQs, auditing documents, and coordinating with deployment partners to meet standards.

This office-based position is located in BGC, Taguig and not intended for field deployment. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of FTTH/FTTx experience and a telecom/electrical engineering background.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of FTTH/FTTx, Outside Plant (OSP) construction, quality control, or document supervision.
• Experience with project documentation and validation processes.
• Familiarity with FTTH/FTTx network architectures and related principles.
• Proficient in documenting accuracy and maintaining compliance with SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate documents submitted by deployment partners and internal teams for acceptance.
• Identify and track operational errors and discrepancies in completion requirements.
• Validate As-Built BOQs for accuracy and completeness.
• Support billing documentation and ensure BOQ submissions align with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Field Engineers, Deployment Teams, PMO, and partners to resolve documentation issues.

Job description

We are looking for Completion Engineers / Back Office Engineers to support FTTx deployment projects for CommScope. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of operational documentation and project data related to fiber network installations.

The position will focus on reviewing installation reports, validating As-Built Bill of Quantities (BOQs), auditing technical documentation, monitoring project deliverables, and coordinating with internal teams and deployment partners to ensure projects meet established standards and client requirements.

This is an office-based role in BGC, Taguig and is not intended for regular field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate documents submitted by deployment partners and internal teams to ensure complete and accurate acceptance documentation.
• Identify, document, and track operational errors and discrepancies in completion requirements.
• Validate FTTH and FTTB As-Built BOQs for accuracy and completeness.
• Support billing documentation and ensure BOQ submissions are aligned with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Field Engineers, Deployment Teams, PMO, and deployment partners to resolve documentation issues and project delays.
• Verify material line items included in BOQ trackers in coordination with Material Managers and Field Engineers.
• Monitor project tracking systems and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify defects, missing requirements, or incomplete deliverables and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
• Verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented.
• Maintain accurate site and project monitoring records.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes, efficiency, and consistency.
• Learn and effectively use new software, systems, and tools required for FTTx documentation and validation.
• Maintain accurate As-Built BOQs to support client billing, partner payments, revenue recognition, and cost control.
• Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements, telecommunications standards, and established SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in FTTH/FTTx, Outside Plant (OSP) construction, quality control, project documentation, or document supervision.
• Good understanding of FTTx network architectures and principles.
• Familiarity with mapping and network design software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
• Able to follow established procedures, priorities, and objectives.
• Strong organizational and project-tracking skills.
• Able to communicate professionally with colleagues, partners, and clients.
• Quick learner with the ability to effectively use new software, systems, and tools.
• Able to identify discrepancies and follow through on corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel from the CommScope office when required.
