Job summary

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority CARAGA Region - Government is seeking an instructor to organize and deliver competency-based TVET training, preparing session plans, materials, and assessment tools while coordinating resources such as workshops and equipment.

You will conduct pre-assessments, monitor learner progress, record performance, and ensure safety and quality in classrooms and facilities.

Qualifications

• NTTC or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Certificate in Trainers Methodology I is required or preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and technical writing skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Good interpersonal relationships and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Organizes training sessions by preparing session plan, instructional materials, training activity matrix, and other competency based learning materials; coordinates resources such as workshops, supplies and facilities.
• Delivers competency-based training by conducting pre-assessments, following the approved plan, monitoring progress, administering institutional assessments, recording performance, and evaluating sessions.
• Conducts career counseling session.
• Communicates with individuals and groups.
• Plans and organizes work.
• Leads learning workplace communication.
• Solves training-related problems.
• Develops competency-based learning materials and LMS contents; prepares slides to improve instruction.
• Conducts competency assessments by administering tests and quizzes.
• Supervises maintenance of training facilities to check equipment and facilities.
• Supports quality management by adhering to standards and evaluating implementation.
• Uses ICT to facilitate learning with audiovisual/multimedia tools and PCs.
• Undertakes research to gather TVET information for updating materials.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
