Job summary

UERM Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines is seeking a Communications Specialist to develop and implement community engagement strategies, and to coordinate information about the center’s activities and events.

You will produce written and visual content for press, blogs, social media, and internal communications, manage social media channels, and work with internal teams to keep information accurate and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
• At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• One (1) Full-time position available

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage with the community.
• Create, coordinate and disseminate information about the Medical Center’s activities, events, and initiatives, and ensure successful execution of events that promote positive interactions.
• Produce and manage compelling written and visual content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media, and internal communications.
• Manage social media content and other virtual groups to enhance the Medical Centers’ online profile.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns from community members and other interested parties in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with internal departments and Marketing Team to gather information and insights for creating engaging and informative content.
• Ensure that all communication materials comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and execute internal communication plans to keep employees informed about organizational developments, policies, and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director from time to time.
