Job summary

The Wings Transit Hotel and Spa in Pasay City, Metro Manila is seeking a Commis Chef III to assist in cooking and production according to established recipes and standards. You will help prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks, and various kitchen requirements, while ensuring quality, portioning, and presentation across all cuisine lines.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field and have prior Commis Chef experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
Experience as Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
Experience with Eastern, Western and Filipino cuisine.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to established recipes and standards.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks, and other kitchen requirements.
Assist in the preparation of Eastern, Western, and Filipino cuisine.
Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and quality of food.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Monitor food supplies and report shortages or quality concerns to the Chef or Supervisor.
Assist with receiving, storing, and properly handling kitchen ingredients.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food production.
Assist in maintaining proper kitchen operations during busy service periods.
