• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and development within CS/IT.
• Strong knowledge of current industry practices and educational technology.
• Excellent strategic thinking and planning capabilities.

• Budget management and resource allocation experience.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary College Dean (CS/IT) to lead our Computer Science and Information Technology division at AMA Computer College Inc. in Davao City. This is a full-time position that plays a strategic role in shaping the academic direction and operational excellence of our CS/IT programs. As College Dean, you will be responsible for overseeing curriculum development, academic standards, faculty management, and student success initiatives. This position reports directly to senior management and is integral to achieving our institutional goals and maintaining our reputation for academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for all Computer Science and Information Technology programs, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives and industry standards

• Oversee curriculum development, review and enhancement to ensure programs remain current, relevant and aligned with emerging technology trends and employer requirements

• Manage faculty recruitment, professional development, performance evaluation and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching

• Ensure maintenance and enhancement of academic standards, quality assurance processes and accreditation compliance across all CS/IT offerings

• Lead the development and implementation of student success initiatives, including mentorship programs, career guidance and placement support

• Build and strengthen relationships with industry partners, employers and community stakeholders to enhance practical learning opportunities and employment pathways

• Manage budgets, resources and facilities for the CS/IT division to optimize operational efficiency and support program delivery

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators and institutional metrics to assess program effectiveness and student outcomes

• Represent the CS/IT division in college meetings, committees and external engagement activities

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive academic environment that promotes innovation, creativity and professional ethics

What we're looking for

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information technology, software development, systems engineering or related fields

• Minimum of 5 years of academic leadership experience, preferably as a Dean, Associate Dean, Department Head or equivalent position in higher education

• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and development within computer science or information technology disciplines

• Strong knowledge of current industry practices, emerging technologies and their applications in education

• Excellent strategic thinking and planning capabilities with the ability to translate vision into actionable initiatives

• Proven track record of successful faculty recruitment, development and performance management

• Experience in building and maintaining industry partnerships and stakeholder relationships

• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and resource allocation

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams

• Knowledge of educational accreditation standards and quality assurance processes in higher education

• Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems

• Familiarity with the Philippine education system and regulatory requirements is advantageous
