About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary College Dean (CBAA) to join AMA University at our Project 8 campus in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical leadership role within the institution. As College Dean, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and academic leadership to the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA). This role is essential to ensuring that the college maintains its reputation for excellence whilst driving innovation in curriculum development, faculty management, and student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the College of Business Administration and Accountancy, aligning college objectives with the university's broader institutional goals

• Oversee the development, review and continuous improvement of academic programs and curricula to ensure they remain current and relevant to industry standards and professional requirements

• Manage and supervise faculty members, including recruitment, performance evaluation, professional development and discipline; foster a collaborative and productive academic environment

• Ensure quality assurance and accreditation compliance across all college programs, maintaining standards set by regulatory bodies and professional organizations

• Develop and manage the college budget, allocate resources efficiently and ensure financial accountability and sustainability

• Promote research, scholarship and creative activities amongst faculty and students; encourage publication and presentation of academic work

• Enhance student support services and engagement; monitor student progression, retention and graduation rates

• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers and professional bodies to strengthen the college's relevance and partnerships

• Represent the college at institutional meetings and external forums; communicate effectively with university leadership, faculty, students and stakeholders

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the college

What we're looking for

• A Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Management or a related field

• Minimum of ten years of experience in higher education, with at least five years in a senior leadership or management position within a university or college environment

• Demonstrated expertise in business, accountancy or a closely related discipline with strong knowledge of professional standards and accreditation requirements

• Proven track record of successful academic program development, curriculum design and implementation

• Strong financial management and budgeting skills with experience in resource allocation and institutional planning

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and manage diverse teams of faculty and staff

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities; capacity to drive institutional change and innovation

• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in quality assurance, accreditation processes and regulatory compliance

• Commitment to academic excellence, student success and institutional advancement

• Knowledge of industry trends and the evolving landscape of business and accountancy education is highly valued
