Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education; Master's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in academic coordination or educational administration.
• Strong knowledge of SHS curriculum and K-12 system in the Philippines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with educational management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience with DepEd policies and accreditation is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in similar educational institution advantageous.

About the role

AMA Computer College Inc. is seeking a dedicated and organized SHS Academic Coordinator to join our Zamboanga City campus. This is a full-time position based in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing academic activities for our Senior High School (SHS) program. As Academic Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our curriculum, supporting both faculty and students, and maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence. This role is integral to the success of our SHS operations and directly impacts the educational experience of our students.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all SHS academic programs, including curriculum implementation and course scheduling
• Support faculty members with lesson planning, resource allocation, and instructional materials preparation
• Monitor student academic progress and performance, identifying areas requiring intervention or support
• Manage student records, transcripts, and academic documentation in compliance with institutional policies
• Facilitate communication between faculty, students, and parents regarding academic matters
• Organize and conduct academic meetings, workshops, and professional development activities for teaching staff
• Ensure compliance with Department of Education (DepEd) regulations and accreditation standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education; Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an academic coordination role or equivalent educational administration experience
• Strong knowledge of Senior High School curriculum and the K-12 educational system in the Philippines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Proficiency in using educational management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and support academic staff
• Familiarity with DepEd policies, regulations, and accreditation requirements
• Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement in academic services
• Ability to work independently and take initiative whilst remaining part of a team-oriented environment
• Experience in a similar educational institution or college setting is advantageous
