Job summary

BPI Direct BanKo, Inc. is seeking a Collections Officer to oversee the delinquent loan portfolio within the assigned area and lead Collection Specialists and Motorized Collectors. You will drive portfolio recovery initiatives while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2–3 years in collections or credit operations, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office. Willingness to travel for field collection activities is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Admin, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in collections, loan recovery, remedial management, or credit operations, preferably in banking, financing, or microfinance institutions.
• Strong knowledge of collection processes, delinquency management, loan restructuring, skip tracing, and litigation proceedings.
• Good understanding of credit assessment principles, risk management, and the 4C's of Credit.
• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing collection teams, including field collectors and recovery personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to travel and conduct field collection activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection operations across branches to achieve portfolio quality and recovery targets.
• Coordinate with Service Providers and Branch Managers on deployment and management of Motorized Collectors.
• Monitor daily activities of Collectors to meet performance metrics.
• Oversee collection efforts for delinquent accounts with proper documentation.
• Review Daily Delinquency Reports to identify priorities and risks.
• Conduct field visits and direct collection activities as needed.
• Manage documentary requirements for legal case filing and represent the organization in court when required.
• Develop and implement collection strategies, including loan restructurings.
• Provide leadership and coaching to Collection Associates and field staff.
• Submit accurate weekly, monthly, and annual portfolio and litigation reports.
