Job summary

AIA Digital+ is a technology and analytics hub within AIA. We are hiring an AKS Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise Kubernetes platforms on Azure, automate infrastructure with IaC, and implement secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud engineering, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and maintaining platform reliability in a production environment. The AKS Engineer will manage AKS clusters, Docker workloads, and networking, while aligning with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• 3+ years with AKS and Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with AKS and Azure Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking.
• Strong troubleshooting in production cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, DNS, load balancing, and security best practices.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize AKS clusters.
• Administer workloads, node pools, ingress, scaling, networking, and storage.
• Build and maintain Docker containers and deployment configurations.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, infrastructure, networking, and deployments.
• Apply security best practices including RBAC and network policies.
• Contribute to documentation and runbooks.

About the Role

Responsible for managing information technology infrastructure as well as applications and software within AIA and providing technical support to internal users.

The AKS Engineer is responsible for designing, building, automating, and supporting enterprise Kubernetes platforms within
Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), cloud-native technologies,
Infrastructure as Code (laC), CI/CD automation, and platform operations in large-scale production environments.

Requirements:

• . Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University.
• . 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• . 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes administration.
• . Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure Kubernetes.
• . Knowledge and experience with Docker.
• . Knowledge and experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• . Knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• . Experience with Kubernetes networking concepts.
• . Strong troubleshooting skills in production cloud environments.
