Job summary

PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to monitor construction, conduct inspections, and coordinate design revisions at our Batangas site. This full-time role requires field experience in project management and on-site QA/QC, with a preference for Land Development projects.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 5–8 years’ site experience, strong teamwork and stakeholder communication, and is amenable to staying in Batangas. Licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed is an advantage.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Site Civil Engineer or similar role.
• On-site QA and inspection experience, punch lists and turnover processes.
• Preferably with experience in Land Development projects.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site civil and structural works according to drawings, standards, and specs.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, owners and consultants on design changes and requirements.
• Conduct inspections, manage defect lists and review material submittals for quality.
• Review cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, contractor billings and support change orders.
• Monitor progress against the schedule and suggest alternative methods or materials to prevent delays.
• Serve as Safety/Materials/Quality Control Engineer on-site when assigned.
• Prepare and file project documentation and QA/QC forms; escalate critical issues to Construction Manager.

Job description

As a Civil Engineer at PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc., you will play a crucial role in monitoring construction, conducts inspections and testing for plan compliance, coordinates design revisions, and manages contractor coordination and project documentation. Based in our site in Batangas, this full-time position requires a Civil Engineer with a keen eye and experience in project management, preferably in Land Development.

What you'll be doing

• Civil & Structural Oversight: Supervises all on-site civil and structural works to ensure strict compliance with the latest approved construction drawings, quality standards, and specifications.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborates closely with engineers of various disciplines, contractors, owners, and consultants to address design issues, construction changes, and project requirements.
• Inspections & Quality Control: Conducts in-process inspections, identifies defects, manages rectification lists, and reviews material submittals to ensure the highest standards of quality.
• Commercial & Cost Management: Reviews cost estimates, verifies detailed Bills of Quantities, evaluates contractor billings, and assists the Project QS with variation and change orders.
• Site Progress & Scheduling: Monitors contractor accomplishments against the project schedule and recommends alternative methodologies or materials to prevent delays.
• Multi-Disciplinary Site Roles: Acts as the designated Safety, Materials, or Quality Control Engineer when appointed on-site, overseeing safety measures and material testing.
• Reporting & Administration: Prepares necessary documentation, ensures all company-specific QA/QC forms are properly executed, and escalates critical site issues directly to the Construction Manager.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed is an advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Site Civil Engineer or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
• On-site experience in Quality Assurance and Inspection, Project Punch listing, Project Turnover, etc.
• Preferably with experience in Land Development projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proficient in handling site documentation and project management tools.
• Amenable to work in Batangas (Stay-in available).
