Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. in Manila is seeking a junior Civil/Construction Engineer to support site teams, review drawings and coordinate with architects, consultants, and suppliers during project execution.

Responsibilities include preparing submittals, monitoring progress, resolving design issues, and ensuring compliance with codes and quality standards. A bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years on site are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years on construction site is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and engineering documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes and quality standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and project documentation tools.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with health, safety and environmental practices on sites.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Professional attitude with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specs and technical documents for accuracy.
• Provide technical support to site teams during execution and installation.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on engineering matters.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
• Monitor progress and identify technical issues affecting quality or schedule.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts, field changes and RFIs.
• Support inspections, testing activities and QA documentation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project requirements.
• Contribute to project meetings with technical updates and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of revisions, approvals and as-built information.
