Job summary

Colliers International Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Engineering Manager to oversee daily operation and maintenance of all building systems in a high-end property in Metro Manila.

You will lead the engineering and maintenance team, coordinate contractors, and ensure systems reliability. The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, a valid license, and at least 5 years in facilities management with 2–3 years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed/Registered Engineer with valid professional license.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering and facilities management.

• Strong knowledge of building MEP systems.

About the role

Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all building engineering systems and equipment. Ensure the proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, water supply, sewage, pumps, generators, elevators, and other building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and identify potential technical and maintenance issues

• Ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns and operational concerns

• Establish and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs

• Lead, supervise, and develop the engineering and maintenance team

• Assign daily tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure proper manpower coverage

• Conduct coaching, training, and performance evaluations of engineering personnel

• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable building, fire safety, environmental, occupational health and safety, and other regulatory requirements

• Supervise and coordinate contractors, suppliers, and external service providers

• Prepare and monitor the engineering and maintenance budget

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• Licensed/Registered Engineer, preferably with a valid professional license

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering and facilities management experience, preferably in residential, condominium, hotel, commercial, or mixed-use properties

• At least 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience

• Strong knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and other property systems

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, facilities management, and building safety requirements

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage contractors, budgets, maintenance programs, and emergency situations

• Willingness to work on-call and respond to operational emergencies when required
