Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee and maintain building systems, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire safety, and HVAC to ensure continuous, efficient operations in a busy Metro Manila facility. You will develop preventive maintenance calendars, inspect facilities, respond to requests, coordinate with contractors, and support budgeting and reporting.

A Licensed PE or equivalent certification and 2–3 years of experience are required; CMMS and building automation

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent certification.
• 2-3 years of professional experience as Building/Property/Facilities Engineer or related.
• Experience managing office, commercial, high-rise or mixed-use facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MEPFS, preventive maintenance, repairs, and operations.
• Vendor and contractor management, tenant communication, and problem-solving.
• CMMS and building automation knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Oversee and maintain all building systems, equipment, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and HVAC operations to ensure continuous, efficient building services.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, including scheduled maintenance calendars and system monitoring to minimize downtime.

• Perform routine building inspections, respond to maintenance requests, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and local standards.

• Address tenant inquiries, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and support daily operational needs and emergency response procedures.

• Assist in facility improvement projects, budget preparation for capital and operational expenditures, equipment inventory management, and reporting.

• Monitor energy consumption, optimize utility usage, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Document maintenance activities, maintain equipment logs, and prepare operational reports for management review.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent) or relevant engineering certification.

• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as a Building Engineer, Property Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or related position.

• Proven experience managing office, commercial, high-rise residential, or mixed-use facility operations.

• Strong technical knowledge of MEPFS systems, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and building operations.

• Demonstrated ability in vendor and contractor management, tenant communication, and problem-solving.

• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and building automation systems is advantageous.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
