Natural9 Corporation in the Philippines seeks a skilled Chef specialized in Chinese cuisine to lead a busy kitchen, preparing Cantonese, Sichuan, and other dishes, managing mise en place, portions, and HACCP compliance.
Candidate should have 2–3 years in a Chinese restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen, with wok experience, dim sum, noodles, and the ability to train staff; willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Strong leadership and teamwork are essential.
Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or related field / Graduate of Culinary School, Technical-Vocational School, or recognized culinary training institution / High School/Senior High School graduate with substantial Chinese cuisine or professional kitchen experience may be considered
With formal training or experience in culinary arts, food preparation, or professional kitchen operations
At least 2–3 years of experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in a Chinese restaurant, hotel, banquet, or high-volume kitchen
Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, including Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, or other Chinese cooking styles
Proficient in preparing Chinese dishes such as dim sum, noodles, fried rice, soups, stir-fried dishes, seafood, and meat dishes
Knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, including wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, braising, roasting, and deep-frying
Experienced in handling and operating a commercial wok, Chinese range, fryer, steamer, and other kitchen equipment
Able to follow standardized recipes while maintaining consistent taste, presentation, and portion control
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and proper food-handling procedures
Able to manage food preparation, mise en place, inventory, and kitchen cleanliness
Can work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Good leadership and teamwork skills; able to train and supervise kitchen staff
Physically fit and willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
