About the role

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Mid-Level Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineer to step into a high-visibility, dual-impact role within our scaling manufacturing operation. You will serve as our Certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO)—safeguarding our operational compliance—while simultaneously accelerating our product development as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer. Working hand-in-hand with the Manufacturing Manager, your dual expertise will directly impact the production and evolution of our core product line: desktop freeze dryer appliances.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the plant's environmental footprint, ensuring total alignment with all DENR-EMB mandates and local laws
• Ensure complete compliance with applicable DENR-EMB environmental laws, regulations, and permit terms
• Proactively secure, monitor, and maintain critical environmental clearances, including ECC and other agency permits
• Prepare and submit accurate, timely environmental documents and mandated reports to the DENR/EMB
• Supervise proper waste segregation, storage, handling, and eco-friendly disposal protocols (hazardous waste, solid waste, wastewater, and air emissions)
• Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to identify, flag, and mitigate potential compliance risks early
• Act as the main point of contact for the DENR, EMB, LGU, and accredited third-party environmental testing partners
• Generate detailed 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and functional prototypes for new design concepts
• Formulate precise Mechanical Bills of Materials (BOM) to streamline manufacturing quotations and product iterations
• Bring fresh engineering perspectives to cross-functional brainstorming sessions, focusing on mechanical improvements

About you

• Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a highly related technical field
• Must be a Certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO)
• Strong foundation in DENR and EMB environmental regulations, hazardous waste management, and regulatory reporting frameworks
• Solid proficiency in 3D CAD platforms and MS Office applications
• Practical exposure to ODOO ERP software is a major advantage
• Prior experience managing environmental compliance, waste systems, or manufacturing operations is highly valued
• Natural problem-solver who can interpret technical data and identify underlying hardware issues
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and capable of cleanly managing compliance timelines alongside engineering deadlines
• Strong writing, presentation, and reporting skills
• Self-starter who takes ownership of dual responsibilities and works excellently with minimal supervision
