Job description

Thecategory Manager is responsible for developing and executing category plan tobring growth in sales, margins and profitability through: (1) market, customer,and competitor analysis (2) product range development, (3) suppliernegotiations, (4) trade promotions and activities, (5) basic storemerchandising, and (6) potential business growth drivers (internal andexternal) identification.

ROLE

• Supplier Management through collaborative category promotions and plans that will result in increased market share and positive sales and margins growth, and 100% completion of TTAs according to agreed timeline.
• Business Development through quarterly review and analysis of the market dynamics, development, and implementation of category-building programs resulting in positive sales and margins and increased market share according to agreed metrics, and periodic assessment of competitor’s activities, pricing and promo initiatives
• Capitalizing on business trends and consumer buying behaviors when completing product range to widen offering within the categories to address customer needs/wants
• Achieving 98% compliance on ROS and 100% compliance on company policies and business process and procedures.
• Achieving O+O sales and profitability of assigned categories through excellent product, placement, promotions and pricing strategies and efficient execution
• 100% delivery of category sales, gross profit, other income, and GOBE sales participation
• Achieving of Market Share Targets.
