Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Manila is seeking a results‑driven Merchandising Manager to lead buying and oversee merchandise clerks, forecast sales and margins, and craft department strategies aligned with turnover goals.

The role requires monitoring open‑to‑buy, stock levels and deliveries; negotiating with vendors; visiting warehouses and stores to ensure quality, display, and assortments; and collaborating with store managers to optimize promotions and stay ahead of trends and suppliers.

• Supervises buying and duties of merchandise clerks.
• Forecasts departmental sales and margin goals.
• Develops department merchandise strategy to meet sales, assortment and margin goals.
• Controls open-to-buy, stock level and deliveries to stay within plans thus increasing turnover.
• Negotiates with vendors for affordable costs, terms, and discounts.
• Visits warehouse and stock rooms to ensure product quality, proper replenishment and display of merchandise.
• Visits stores to check assortments of merchandise, display and old season merchandise.
• Consults with store managers and other sales personnel on problems and suggestions.
• Canvasses competitors regularly to evaluate their assortments, prices and merchandise presentation.
• Continuously explores new trends and new suppliers.
• Prepares promotional plans, notes and analyzes results for the future planning.
