Job summary

AIG Philippines Insurance Inc is seeking a Head of Casualty, Philippines to lead the casualty underwriting strategy, manage a profitable portfolio, and drive growth with market-focused pricing and terms.

You will mentor a team of underwriters, build strong broker relationships, and collaborate with claims and other lines to deliver integrated risk solutions. This senior role emphasizes leadership and strategic contribution within a global insurer.

Qualifications

Deep technical expertise in Casualty lines and the local Philippine market.
Proven track record of managing and growing a profitable portfolio.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Experience mentoring underwriters and leading teams.
Ability to analyze financial statements and market data.
Degree or professional insurance qualification with senior underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute comprehensive business plans for the Casualty line to optimize growth and profitability.
Direct portfolio risk appetite and profitability with adherence to underwriting frameworks.
Spearhead evaluation and approval of high-exposure accounts; guide structuring of terms.
Cultivate a high-performing underwriting team through coaching and upskilling.
Expand relationships with brokers and clients to drive new business and retention.
Analyze market indicators and pricing strategies to identify opportunities.
