Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in Casualty lines and a strong, localized understanding of the Philippine commercial insurance landscape.
• Proven track record of managing and growing a profitable portfolio and communicating risk appetite to brokers/clients.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills for complex contracts.
• Strong people management skills with a focus on mentoring underwriters.
• Analytical ability to assess financial statements and market data for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute comprehensive business plans for the Casualty line to optimize growth and profitability.
• Direct portfolio risk appetite and profitability within internal underwriting frameworks and regulatory standards.
• Spearhead evaluation and approval of high-exposure accounts and guide structuring of tailored terms.
• Cultivate a high-performing underwriting team through coaching and upskilling.
• Expand relationships with brokers and clients to drive new business and retention.
• Analyze economic indicators and industry trends to adjust pricing strategies.
