Job summary

AIG Philippines Insurance Inc is seeking a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our underwriting team in Manila. This role offers exposure to Financial Lines, risk evaluation, pricing, and client relationships.

You will underwrite new and renewal business, review applications and financial statements, collaborate with senior underwriters, and ensure regulatory compliance. Strong analytical skills and communication with agents are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
Prior ample experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in Financial Lines.
Strong analytical, risk assessment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with agents and brokers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting systems.
Understanding of local insurance regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Underwrite new and renewal Financial Lines business in accordance with guidelines and authority levels.
Evaluate risks by reviewing applications, financial statements and relevant information.
Determine pricing, terms and conditions for policies.
Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers.
Provide timely, professional service to agents and clients.
