Job summary

PASTRY HAVEN BY HELEN in the Philippines is seeking a friendly cafe team member to take orders, prepare beverages, and assist with baking. You will work with a tablet system and serve guests with a smile.

Full-time, 6 days a week, shift 10am–7pm. Prior food safety training is required and physical ability to stand for long periods. On-the-job training provided.

Job Summary

You will take customer orders using a tablet system, prepare and serve food and beverages following standard procedures, assist with baking preparation, and maintain cleanliness to ensure a hygienic café environment.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately using the tablet system to ensure efficient service
• Heat bakes and prepare coffee and beverages according to standard recipes and procedures
• Serve food and drinks promptly over the counter or to tables to meet customer expectations
• Assist the baker with daily baking preparation tasks to support kitchen operations
• Clear tables and maintain a clean, hygienic environment to enhance guest experience
• Stand and move actively during shifts to maintain service flow in a fast-paced café setting

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold Food Safety Course Level 1 certification as mandated for food handling
• Demonstrate physical fitness to stand for extended periods during shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
• Maintain a positive mindset and service attitude with a willingness to learn
• Prior experience in food and beverage service is advantageous but not required due to on-the-job training

• Shift hours from 10am to 7pm
