Job summary

BPI DIRECT BANKO, INC. A Savings Bank in Rosario, Batangas is seeking a Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations, drive loan marketing, and ensure excellent customer service and compliance.

You will supervise staff, report on performance, and collaborate with regional teams to meet targets. The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in Finance/Management or Economics and at least 5 years in banking, with strong community ties.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree, preferably in Finance, Management or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience, including rural banks or microfinance contexts.
• Strong familiarity with local community and market networks.

Responsibilities

• Initiates plans/strategies for marketing loans to reach branch loan targets.
• Manages staff monitoring and servicing to maintain loan portfolio quality.
• Maintains good public relations with customers and the local community.
• Oversees daily branch operations: vault, cash balancing, tellers, and customer transactions.
• Ensures compliance with department policies and regulations.
• Provides inputs to improve lending operation policies and guidelines.
• Maintains facility security and conducts audits; ensures operational soundness.
• Approves Manage Logon ID information for Mobile App registration.

Job Description

The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of the branch, including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, compliance, security and safety. Responsible for attaining branch goals through active participation in sales management and management reporting. Provides leadership, training and supervision of Branch Staff.

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. Initiates plans/strategies for marketing loans for prospective clients in pursuit of the branch target for loan portfolio

2. Manages staff’s pro-active account monitoring and servicing activities to help ensure maintenance of good loan portfolio quality

3. Maintains good public relations with customers and the local community

4. Supervises the day to day operational functions of the branch including: vault, drawer and cash balancing; overseeing teller and customer service duties; and assisting and approving customer transactions within authority limits

5. Complies with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations

6. Provides inputs for the improvement of existing policies and guidelines of the lending operation

7. Is responsible for the general maintenance of the facility. Ensures that all security procedures are strictly followed, branch is operationally sound, and satisfactory audits are achieved

8. Approves the Manage Logon ID information of clients for Mobile App registration

Minimum Skills/Qualifications:

• A. Graduate of a 4-year degree course, preferably in business-related disciplines (Finance / Management/ Economics, etc.)
• B. At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry (Rural Banks, microfinance-focused NGOs as well)
• C. Familiarity with the community of the branch (main markets, target segment, local network and connections, etc.)
