• At least 5 years of relevant experience in property development, project development, land development, real estate investment, land acquisition, or a related field.
• Strong experience in land/site evaluation and project feasibility.
• Ability to assess a property's potential and develop commercially viable project concepts.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Understanding of real estate market dynamics, development processes, and investment considerations.
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate land and property opportunities to determine their development potential and highest and best use
• Conduct or oversee site assessments, market studies, feasibility studies, and financial analyses
• Identify potential project concepts based on location, market demand, site characteristics, regulations, and commercial considerations
• Develop recommendations on the most appropriate use and development strategy for identified sites
• Prepare business cases, financial models, investment analyses, and presentations to support development decisions
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging property and development opportunities
• Work closely with internal teams, consultants, landowners, partners, and other stakeholders in evaluating potential projects
• Support land acquisition, partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic development opportunities when applicable
• Monitor property and market trends and translate these into potential development opportunities
• Help move viable opportunities from initial site assessment and concept development through feasibility and project planning

Our client, a growing and diversified organization with investments in property and land development, is looking for a Business Development Manager, Property & Project Development to identify and evaluate opportunities for maximizing the potential of its land assets.

This is not a traditional sales or commercial business development role. The position is focused on understanding land and property opportunities, assessing their development potential, and translating these opportunities into viable and commercially sound project concepts.
