Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our business growth in the Philippines and ASEAN region. This role will identify, nurture, and close deals from lead generation through to project execution and post-installation support.
The position is designed as a strategic succession role, reporting initially to the existing ASEAN Business Development Manager (25+ years experience), with the opportunity to grow into full regional leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on executor who thrives in technical sales environments and can build enduring relationships across contractors, consultants, end-users, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Business Development
Source and qualify leads from contractors, EPCs, system integrators, and project developers across Philippines and ASEAN.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities in Oil & Gas, Industrial Chemicals, Aviation (Hangars & Fuel Farms), Ports, Power Plants, and Warehousing.
Identify greenfield and brownfield projects through market intelligence, industry databases, and on-ground networking.
2. Consultant Engagement & Spec-In Strategy
Meet with fire safety consultants, engineering firms, and design houses to persuade specification of our products in project drawings.
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits to showcase our company engineering capabilities and value proposition.
Provide consultants with design support, engineering manuals, and F3/UL/FM-compliant product documentation.
Engage directly with end-users (HSE heads, project directors, plant managers) to secure our company inclusion in approved vendor lists (AVL) and empanelment rosters.
Understand end-user pain points (turnaround time, technology gaps, certification needs) and position the company as the preferred partner.
Build long-term relationships with strategic accounts across key industries.
Act as liaison with local fire departments, regulators, and compliance authorities as required for project approvals and inspections.
Ensure the company products and solutions meet local fire codes, OISD/NFPA/NBC standards, and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate regulatory audits, product certifications, and compliance documentation.
5. End-to-End Project Ownership
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Visit project sites to ensure equipment performance, resolve on-ground issues, and validate satisfaction post-installation.
