WeFund, a leading Philippine FinTech under FinVolution Group, seeks a Business Development Associate to identify new opportunities, build client relationships, and support revenue growth. You will conduct market research, generate leads, and help craft proposals with internal teams to expand Our market presence.

You will assist in project coordination, review contracts, monitor onboarding, and analyze market trends to drive long-term business success in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above; finance, accounting, law or related fields a plus but not mandatory.
• 2–3 years of professional experience; FinTech, banking or internet industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail for handling contracts and repetitive tasks.
• Proficient market research to identify opportunities, trends and risks.
• Strong business acumen to translate insights into growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating projects with cross-functional teams (IT, Risk, Operations) to hit timelines and milestones.
• Review commercial contracts and business documents for accuracy using company templates.
• Monitor partner onboarding and surface operational bottlenecks with data-backed insights.

Job Summary

• The Business Development Associate is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
• This role involves conducting market research, generating leads, assisting in negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams to develop proposals and strategies.
• The associate plays a key part in expanding the company's market presence, nurturing partnerships, and driving long-term business success.

Job Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Tracking

• Assist the Business Development Head in overseeing project timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate and work with cross-functional teams (IT, Risk, Operations) to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and projects remain aligned with business objectives.

Basic Contract & Document Review

• Conduct initial reviews of commercial contracts and business documents using company templates.
• Verify accuracy of essential details such as financial terms, effective dates, and entity information before escalation.

Operational Feedback & Support

• Monitor partner onboarding processes and promptly identify operational bottlenecks.
• Collect and present relevant data to support management in resolving issues and making informed decisions.

Administration & Market Research

• Maintain systematic filing and archiving of business development documents.
• Gather and analyze basic market intelligence on competitors, industry developments, and emerging trends to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above. (A background in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory).
• Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience. Experience in FinTech, Banking, or the Internet industry is highly preferred.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: Capable of handling meticulous contract details and repetitive tasks with a positive and focused attitude.
• Market Research: systematic collection and analysis of data about industries, competitors, and customer needs. It enables professionals to identify opportunities, anticipate trends, and minimize risks.
• Business Acumen: applying strategic thinking, financial literacy, and commercial awareness to turn insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Strong Communication & Feedback Loop: Proactively updates supervisors on progress and obstacles; ensures "closing the loop" on all communications rather than remaining silent when issues arise.
• Growth Mindset: A strong willingness and curiosity to learn the underlying business logic of the internet lending industry.
