Job summary

WeFund Lending Corp. in the Philippines seeks an External Relations Officer to coordinate government engagements, regulators, and industry partners. You will support strategic communications, ESG programs, and external affairs initiatives to enhance regulatory alignment and public advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, Legal Management, Business, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of related work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to coordinate with external and internal stakeholders with discretion and good judgment.
  • Organized and capable of maintaining trackers, files, schedules, approvals, procurement/payment requirements, permits, regulatory correspondence, sponsorships, budgets, events, and project documentation.
  • Flexible and adaptable; may perform other related functions due to the dynamic nature of External Affairs work.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills for a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist government and regulatory affairs, prepare letters, briefing notes, talking points, and meeting docs.
  • Maintain stakeholder maps and trackers; coordinate meetings, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Draft stakeholder messages, press materials, media responses, speeches, and event briefs.
  • Support ESG programs and advocacy coordination.
  • Prepare award submissions, corporate profiles, ESG write-ups, and post-event reports.
  • Maintain EA trackers and reports; coordinate schedules, approvals, and procurement.
  • Perform other related functions as required by the Head of External Affairs.

Job Summary

The External Relations (External Affairs) Officer is responsible for supporting the company's external engagement initiatives through effective coordination with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, media partners, and other key external parties

Key Responsibilities:
  • Government and Regulatory Affairs Support: assist with engagements involving SEC, BSP, NPC, CIC, DTI, CICC, PNP-ACG, and other relevant government or regulatory stakeholders; prepare letters, briefing notes, talking points, meeting documentation, and follow-through trackers.

  • Stakeholder Management: maintain stakeholder maps and trackers; coordinate meetings, consultations, sponsorships, partnerships, and follow-through items with regulators, associations, media partners, ESG partners, consultants, and advocacy groups.

  • Strategic Communications, Media Relations, and Public Affairs: draft stakeholder messages, press materials, media responses, captions, speeches, executive talking points, public-facing narratives, and event briefs; support public affairs initiatives and crisis communications.

  • ESG and Advocacy Coordination: support ESG programs such as FINLIT in a Minute, Kwentong Negosyo ni Juan, law enforcement partnerships, financial literacy initiatives, and impact documentation, among others.

  • Awards, Events, and External Recognition: prepare award submissions, corporate profiles, ESG write-ups, forum briefs, sponsorship documentation, executive profiles, and post-event reports.

  • Internal Coordination, Administrative Support, and Reporting: maintain EA project, budget, stakeholder, and engagement trackers; coordinate schedules, meetings, documents, approvals, procurement requirements, payments, files, and other administrative requirements; coordinate with internal departments; prepare periodic EA reports and management updates.

  • Performs other related functions, administrative requirements, and special assignments from time to time, as may be required by the Head of External Affairs, depending on the evolving needs, priorities, and dynamic nature of the External Affairs function.

Job Qualifications:
