GECO Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Business Analyst with Java knowledge to join our on-site team in Taguig. You will analyze existing systems, document business and system requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.

We are looking for a Business Analyst with Java knowledge to join our team. In this role, you will analyze existing systems, gather and document business and system requirements, and work closely with both business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in business analysis, requirements documentation, software testing, and a working knowledge of Java to help analyze application logic and troubleshoot issues.
Analyze existing system behavior, business processes, and application workflows.
Gather and document functional and system requirements in a System Requirements Specification (SRS).
Review existing Java code and technical documentation to understand current system functionality.
Conduct workshops and discussions with business users and stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment.
Create comprehensive test scenarios and Test Suites based on documented requirements.
Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and validate that the application meets business requirements.
Investigate defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
Document test results and maintain defect logs throughout the testing cycle.
Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Explain test scenarios and expected system behavior.
Coordinate issue resolution between users and the development team.
Ensure UAT findings are documented and resolved appropriately.
Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
Present findings, system behavior, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve system functionality and business processes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
Experience creating System Requirement Specifications (SRS) and functional documentation.
Hands-on experience with System Integration Testing (SIT) and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic to intermediate Java knowledge with the ability to analyze existing Java applications and understand application logic.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience facilitating requirement gathering sessions and client workshops.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working on enterprise applications.
Knowledge of SQL or database concepts.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
