ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation is seeking a Business Analyst to analyze, design, and implement information systems, liaising with end users, vendors, and engineers to ensure outcomes. You will manage internal controls, process compliance, and security for new applications and guarantee accuracy and timeliness of inputs/outputs.
The role requires 3–4 years of BA/IS/IT project mgmt experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
The Business Analyst is responsible in analyzing, designing and implementing information systems as well as assessing the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes and liaising with end users, software vendors and Software Engineers to achieve these outcomes.
The BA is also responsible in managing appropriate internal control, process compliance and security requirements in functional and technical aspects relevant to all new application systems analyzed to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and authorization of all inputs and outputs for its users.
Assists the Project Lead plan and monitor the resource utilization for the assigned project and supply its details to support computation of project costing
Contributes where appropriate in formulating and updating standards, policies and procedures that comply with agreed best practices
Evaluates computerization requirements of specific users and in accordance with the requirements
Designs the computer system and formulates programming specifications, timetable, training of users, and implementation approach of projects
Coordinates with users and project sponsors regarding requirements at every stage of the software projects whenever necessary
Translates users’ requirements into clear technical design and specifications
Collaborates with Stakeholders in providing the solution of operational difficulties encountered in existing programs
Recommends and implements system and work process to enhance and improve the operations of a business unit or organization that requires automation and improvement of their systems operations
Recommends processes that enhance the efficiency and usability of present applications
Analyzes computer resources required by new and revised applications and recommends necessary adjustments in the database set-up and configuration before the implementation
Performs and evaluates risk analysis for all application systems under development.
Identifies, assesses, mitigates if necessary, and/or reports the operational risks that may arise from the department’s day-to-day activities to the APMD Head
Incorporates appropriate internal control and security requirements in all new application systems to be developed or modified to guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness and authorization of inputs and outputs
Ensures that the design of the system security measures and audit logs are analyzed and factored in the systems design and built
Secures all working technical documentation, electronic and paper-based, including but not limited to Business Requirements Documents / User Requirement Specification (URS), Functional and Technical design/specification document, orientation training presentation slides, User and Administrator Manual
Collaborates with the Software Engineers and/or Software Architects on the development of detailed system design specifications such as narrative descriptions and system flow charts, system inputs, processing logic, database/file definitions and structure, program specifications, system outputs, and system interfaces
Coordinates, plans, monitors and directs the activities of Software Engineers
Coordinates with development and System Testers Engineer on performing tests for programs/systems before it gets deployed in a production environment
Obtains feedback from system users and reviews user problems to determine system changes or enhancements, bug fixing and /or systems fine tuning
Ensures compliance on the preparation and submission of program change (request) documentation
Manages, maintains and adheres with strict confidentiality of all records / documents and Stakeholder information
Ensures all assigned maintenance related requests are executed accordingly and followed through diligently
Prepares status and administrative reports related to implementation milestones, issues, project time spent and accomplishments
Provides training and orientation to new associates and end-users on the proper implementation and testing of modified and new applications
Meets with immediate superior and other teams on a regular basis to discuss the plans and accomplishments required for the assigned project.
Provides regular feedback on the progress of the project to users and project sponsors
Performs such other functions as may be required by the Applications and Project Management Head from time to time
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any related field
Minimum of 3-4 years ‘experience relevant experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, or IT Project Management, including requirements gathering, process improvement, stakeholder management, and project delivery.
Have strong communication/interpersonal skills, proven analytic background and able to translate the user requirements with clarity into functional and system design specifications.
Can work with minimum supervision
Willing to work full-time onsite
